Homemade Play-Doh
- Use wheat flour or all purpose flour (maida) dough instead of store bought Play-Doh. -This is especially useful for toddlers who love playing with Play-Doh, but may end up putting them into their mouths. - Even leftover poori/chapathi dough could be used. - These also can be shaped into butterflies, plates, bags, bows, etc., that the kids can paint and keep them occupied during vacation. -If the kids need colorful play-doh, just mix plant/veg based coloring to the maida dough. - Orange - Carrot juice - Red/Pink - Beetroot juice. Reduce the amount of juice to make pink. - Green - Any leaf juice - Brown - A few tsp of coffee decoction - Yellow - Turmeric powder Steps: 1. Make the shapes out of the dough. 2. Dry them under sun for at least a couple of days. Birds tend to peck on these, so cover them with a thin cloth or net. 3. They harden and the kids will be able to paint them.
